Sundance Lane Recording’s owner and lead engineer, Dr. John Anderson, has been recording for over 18 years and is also a professional conductor. He holds a Doctorate in conducting and has been on the music faculty of Monterey Peninsula College for 25 years. He is the founder and conductor of the Ensemble Monterey Chamber Orchestra, now in its 22nd season (ensemblemonterey.org). He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and holds a diploma from the Edgar Stanton Audio Recording Institute at the Aspen Music Festival and School. His recording credits include the concerts at the Aspen Festival and the 250th anniversary recording of Handel’s Messiah in Dublin, conducted by Simon Carrington, among many others. All other engineers at Sundance Lane Recordings are also professional performers.
Bottom line: we know how to listen and talk to you intelligently about your recording and guide you through every step of the recording process. We know what your recording should sound like before we press RECORD.
